Mother's Day Gifts of Peonies and Iris

The onslaught of continuous cold weather in April created flower choices recently unusual for mid May.  These Mother's Day arrangements
peonies and iris were a pleasure to provide for Pine State Flowers :

These iris ikebanas were made for the mothers of Parker and Otis!

Botan is the japanese word for peony and working with these takes you to asian gardens of long ago!

lee attracting birds and bees at The Makery at Mercury Studio

I joined  a wonderful community of makers and curators  called The Makery @ MercuryStudio  as a vendor providing art, textiles and fresh flowers and arrangements.

I am there every Wednesday from 3-8pm with fresh arrangements so please come by.The Makery:      https://www.facebook.com/TheMakeryNC , 401 W. Geer St Durham NC 27701

I  also have enjoyed incorporating blossoms from local, sustainable  farms in arrangements and bouquets. These ranunculus are from Sassafras Fork Farm they were a wonderful addition to the bouquets and brought us through the long extended cold weather

Another great local farm is Waterdog Farms
